Evidence of Local Natives playing an amazing set to a crowd that could care less. It’s a shame that one of the best acts of the Vail Valley festival was not danced to, sung with or enjoyed by an audience that were just hanging out until Bassnectar came on.
If they hadn’t dismissed the most talented member of their band (Andy from CO), they would have had another 100+ dedicated fans who were there primarily for Local Natives. With that being said, everyone I’ve talked to loved the set, but it isn’t exactly dancing music. I’ve seen them almost 10 times now, and the crowd has always been pretty mellow.
