Just threw up in my mouth a little
So I lied, one more Lennon mention, a sorta indirect one though. I was checking out Walls and Bridges on Amazon and came across these comments in a review by a fellow who voluntarily goes by the the name The Jerk. In all its glory: [ed. note emphasis added -m.s.]
Before I heard it here, I heard, " Steel and Glass" on the Working class hero trubute album by Candlebox. It sounded pretty amazing. Here, not so much. Almost not even like the same song. On the Candlebox version there's a verse that's not included here. [There you stand with Your toilet scent And your mickey duck And your donald f**k]
Then I threw up in my mouth a little. I'm first in line in supporting the free marketplace of ideas, the democratization of editorialized communication about anything, but letting everyone have a voice doesn't stop me (or you) from calling out dumb shit. Done and done.
