Showtime at the Apollo: Gorillaz!

Gorillaz have scheduled a 5 night residency at Harlem's Apollo Theater between April 2-6. There's a joke here about downtowners venturing far above 14th street for their rock and roll fix. Or you can go racial and tell the one about white kids venturing into Harlem. Either way it ends like a punk'd Timberlake.
Reprising their stand at the Manchester Opera House last November, the NYC shows will include Gorillaz architect Damon Albarn (Blur), De La Soul, Ike Turner (Tina beater), Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays), Neneh Cherry (Grammy loser to Milli Vanilli, and Bootie Brown (Pharcyde) - artist who all appear on Demon Days which will be played in its entirety (MTV News link).
Tickets will go on sale March 10 at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster
While in the neighborhood get your BBQ on at Dinosaur BBQ.
