First Swan Lake material released

Hey, normally I'm not one to just immediately regurgitate record label press releases, but I've been waiting for this particular e-mail ever since this project was announced. Ladies and gentlemen, with thanks to Jagjaguwar Records, I give you the joined powers of Mssrs Krug, Mercer, and Bejar. The Canadian Voltron has come together at last, with their debut record as Swan Lake, Beast Moans.

Swan Lake - "All Fires"

On first listen, what I can tell you (other than a general "awesome") is that this is a Krug-centric mid-tempo ballad. It's not a far cry from Spencer's other brilliant bands, but it couldn't slip right onto Apologies to the Queen Mary or Shut Up, I am Dreaming without notice either.

Further dissection to occur upon the subsequent 400 listens I will give it over the weekend, as I repeatedly curse the distant November 21st release date.
