ELECTION DAY SHOCKER: Britney Files for Divorce
Britney Spears has filed for divorce from Kevin Federline (TMZ). Pundits across the land are calling it a watershed event for opposite-sex marriage. Family groups, distraught by news of the split, say they are disheartened by the broken union and will pray for the couple's children.
They concede the 'November surprise' will influence voters to support gay marriage measures. Claiming nothing worse than the celebrity status provided to K-Fed [upon his wedding to Britney] can come from gays marrying.
