For those of you counting at home, of the tournament's 65 songs, five are from Pablo Honey , twelve are from the Bends , eleven are from OK Computer , eight are from Kid A, seven are from Amnesiac, eight are from Hail to the Thief songs, and twelve are from B-sides/soundtracks/etc.
Since we believe in transparency, I have included the IM transcript of our seeding selections for the final 17 teams, after the jump. Feel free to poke huge holes in our obvious biases. There can be no tournament without seeding controversies!
10:25 PM me: ok - one each for first thirteen - then let's pick three each for the final two spots
Randall: ok
me: I take Like Spinning Plates
10:26 PM Randall: killer cars
10:27 PM now 3 and 3
me: Motion Picture, Pearly*, A Wolf
10:28 PM Randall: motion picture is a ten seed, no?
me: bones, pyramid, tourist, motion picture
me: we're losing all perspective - bones, pyramid, tourist, motion picture are all ten seeds
10:29 PM oh right
sorry
yes
you were quoting ten seeds
Randall: haha
me: Pearly*, A Wolf, A Reminder
Randall: wolf, polyethelyne, glass house
i don't know reminder, but i'll defer to your better judgement
10:30 PM me: let's redo - three other sixteens see if we have any matches for the cellar
10:31 PM Randall: so forget the six we just said?
me: no - you deferred to Reminder
so we have our 13s
Randall: ok, so wolf and reminder are in, then
me: now - let's see if we have the same remaining 16 seeds
yeah - Like, Killer, Wolf, Reminder
10:32 PM Randall: 11 teams left?
14, 15 and three 16s?
me: yes
10:33 PM you, poly, blow out,
10:34 PM Randall: 16: blow out, scatterbrain, millions
so blow out is #63
me: you can protect two - and the other goes in 15
16
rather one
protect one
10:35 PM Randall: ok
me: I protect Poly, I guess
Randall: disappear
10:36 PM me: no - of the ones you picked to go to 16th
Randall: oh ok
me: so scatterbrain or millions
Randall: millions
10:37 PM me: so the other two - millions and poly - are low fifteens
Randall: ok
me: now let's rank the last six - and we'll figure out - based on the combo - which are 14s and which are 15w
15s
Randall: what are the last six?
10:38 PM me: Climbing Up The WallsGo To Sleep (Little Man Being Erased)How Do You? How To Disappear CompletelyLife In A Glass HousePearly*
Randall: Climbing Up The Walls OK Computer
Go To Sleep (Little Man Being Erased) Hail To The Thief
How Do You? Pablo Honey
How To Disappear Completely Kid A
Life In A Glass House Amnesiac
Pearly* Paranoid Android
good
me: Pearly
How to Disappear
Life In A
10:39 PM Go To Sleep
How Do You?
Climbing
10:40 PM Randall: agree on "how do you" and "climbing" as 15s
so i guess agree with all 6
me: I think we're done?!?!?!
Randall: although i'd go disappear, glass, pearly, sleep
10:41 PM what the hell does the NCAA selection committee complain about, that was a piece of cake

as i remember, the play in game was meant to include songs that you may have overlooked. Beyond that, you mentioned that seeding would not be dictated by their late entry. instead your bias has placed those songs against the absolute best in the tournament. i protest this seeding travesty! where is the NIT???
to give my arguement better backing, i think "how do you?" and "how i made my millions" should be swapped with "talk show host" and "you". seemed like you guys sort of mailed in the final seeds. understandable. a 16th seed is hardly as flashy as a 1st. but underdog stories make tournaments watchable.
