Comments: Now that we've gotten further away from the earlier albums, Kid A may serve as a more radical departure for Radiohead, then Kid A, but each album has brought the group to a different place. What best separates the two is this album is Wes-Anderson-esque in how much attention and care is paid to the ancillary sounds. Each time you listen to National Anthem (with its horn wails and its improv), you get something new.

Comments: Not a lot of super stars on this album, but I suspect it does better than most would suspect. Knives Out is a fantastic song, and Packt is one of Radiohead's songs that effortlessly combines traditional and electronic music.

Comments I don't think many people gave this album a lot of credit. This was the first Radiohead album to enter the holistic music criticism age, and I think that a lot of Radiohead deniers had gotten into positions of power in the music industry. I mean that not as criticism; maybe more as a return to rationality. Unchecked Radiohead fanboy sentiment was due to get a blowback. It's still a better album than Pablo Honey. Over time, it might surpass Amnesiac.
