You know, I was always sort of skeptical of the "Kraftwerk Bracket" name, because I guess I just don't see that band having a huge influence on Radiohead, but that final matchup isn't the worst argument. It's not the best argument, either, but it worked out nicely...

Didn't the titular band of this tournament name-drop Kraftwerk quite a bit when recording Kid A? That's probably where the bracket name came from.

You know, I'm not sure that they were. I was reading a ton about them at the time and I remeber more talk of Warp Records stuff like Aphex Twin and Autechre, some vague Can and Eno and Neu! mentions, but not really Kraftwerk. Most of that album isn't rhythmic enough, I don't think...

Maybe it was just everybody else at the time claimind that Radiohead was influenced by Kraftwerk. Maybe Massive Attack or DJ Shadow would have been a better bracket name.
