Petty Furs
If Wolf Parade ever tickled your fancy (consentually or non-consentually) you should probably give at least a periodic check to the sparsely worded Snakes Got a Blog. The latest WP related find to surface over there is a decent live recording of Dan Boeckner's Handsome Furs shambling through a dark and sloppy version of Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky." As the evil border guard suspended the Furs from playing their scheduled New York gigs, I've no clue if this is a set staple or a one time experiment, but it's preserved in semi-acceptable audio for all time now.

P.S. If you look around at the site you'll notice a new Islands song that has yet to be ubiquitous as well.
