Hello 'Baltimore Sun' readers

If you've joined us from here - let me give you a tour of recent offerings.

Here is our curated Q2 DJ mix (podcast).

Here's what we've said about Voxtrot (ed: We loved the EP Raised by Wolves)

Here's our coverage of some of our favorite bands: Long Blondes, Deerhunter, Handsome Furs

Here is David Klein's exhaustive numerology collection (picking the best song with a particular number in the title, from 1 (Sparks - "the Number One Song in Heaven") to Infinity - 1 (currently, he's on 23 - Blonde Redhead - "23")

The Sun article really makes the Voxtrot lead singer out to be a complete jerk.

I mean, it must be awfully tough to see your work criticized, especially in the blog world where you get the sense of, "well who the hell are they," but his point is weird. I mean if bloggers don't have a right to their opinion (as long as it's backed up and well founded) then who does? Should you need some kind of editorial approval or a specific license to have an opinion about music?

I sort of made that point in my (somewhat long interview) - that I've never bought into this criticism as an elitist POV. Given that I'm both a blogger and a journalist, perhaps I can make this claim, having looked carefully at both sides? Right? Hello?
