New Beatles Samplin' Wu Track Hits the Web!
I'm probably one of the very least interested in hip hop members of the MS hive, but I was still very intrigued to hear the very first officially cleared Beatles sample utilized by the RZA. For now, you can grab a ripped version of "The Heart Gently Weeps" (guess which song it samples) at Nah Right. What's really lame about the whole thing is that the original breaker of the scoop, the massive hip hop site Loud.com, used this sure fire traffic generator as a branding exercise. You have to deal with some "Quiet Storm" dude popping up every minute or so to whisper "loud.com" seductively in your ear. It's wildly annoying, but it won't completely tank your enjoyment. Perhaps a little more sedate than I like my Wu, but worth a listen for sure.
UPDATE: Hmmm, not so fast...

This is actually a lot better than a expected. Let's just hope the rest of the album is crazy loud, like "Shame on a Nigga" or "Nuthing to F' With" are crazy loud.

One of my co-workers played it yesterday. I had not idea they were making a comeback. But speaking of Brits....Have you heard Sohodolls yet? They are a huge buzz band in the UK right now and are starting to get video play in the US. Check them out: www.sohodolls.co.uk
