My favorite venue in Houston isn't even on the list! Warehouse Live has some awesome shows coming up! Yonder Mt. String Band is tomorrow, The Bravery is Feb 7th, Bob Schneider is Feb. 14th, Queensryche is Feb 15th, G Love on Feb 21st, NOFX on Feb 26th and Citixen Cope on Feb 29th! Its gonna be an awesome month. Can't wait to see their March line up!

I'm not too familiar with Houston (I've only gone into the city once), but I'll add Warehouse Live to the list of places to check. And if any other readers have suggestions or tips, pass them along, too.

yeah warehouse is definitely the venut to check out in houston. the mink is more of a bar with a backroom for shows, and the proletariat is closing. several of the bands you've listed for austin are playing at warehouse!

As for your bold choice, heh, Black Mtn left me totally underwhelmed when I saw them last. Though, for the record, I like them.

Yeah, that recommendation was based solely on the bands' most recent albums. And Dallas's excellent restaurant scene.
