Retrohump - the Godfather of Soul is no more

OH 90s, we shall never outrun you. But we will try.

LA Style - James Brown is Dead

The song that prognosticated James Brown's eventual death, shocking everyone who had their money on him being an ageless vampire. It seems surprising that hard house beats actually enjoyed some radio time in nineties surburbia, but people are always fans of lyrics they can remember.

Rozella - Everybody's Free

The song's state title was eventually belied by its sheer ubiquity. No one was free to elude its sonic claws. This was the first CD I owned that had remixes (REMIXES!). There were six, and none sounded any different than another. Huzzah commerce.

M.C. Hammer - Turn This Mutha Out

Just think of all we might have been spared if Hammer retired after this video - no "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em," No Adams Family theme song, "no, no, no" (not safe for sanity)
